Rupee price air Delhi-Bagdogra

Does anyone know the rupee price for a one-way flight from Delhi to Bagdogra? (On JetAirways) This would be the price Indian citizens pay since I have a residence permit. I just need to know so I know how much cash I need to have on hand when I arrive.

I would really prefer to buy the ticket from here (USA) if possible.

Rs 7476 according to my 'Excel's timetable of air services within India'.

It is the April 2004 edition and there have been lots of changes in the last year.

Jet Flies to Bagdogra four times a week ( 2 4 6 & 7) and the return flight is on the other days (1 3 & 5) . This peculiar schedule is due to the fact, that the on certain days the Delhi - Guwahati flight stops at Bagdogra on its way out and on other days it stops coming back from Guwahati.

Plan for delays, I went the week before last.. and there were delays both ways. Also Bagdogra is a military airport.. which does not allow night landing to any of the commercial airlines, including Indian Airlines.. So if the flight is very very late, the flight can be cancelled.

There are other airlines also operating in this sector, viz. Indian Airlines and Sahara and since a few months Deccan Airlines (which is a new economy carrier)

You can book online at www.jetairways.com

Indian Airlines should also have such an option.

The basic Rupee fare for all except Deccan Airlines is Rs. 9,000/- one way (Rs. 9,036 for IA).. However with the competition from Deccan most airlines, including Jet offers special fares (non Apex) around Rs. 5,500 /- to Guwahati (I made the trip to Guwahati recently).. This suggests that there should be a similar fare for Bagdogra.

Deccan has flights to Guwahati and Dibrugarh.. not to Bagdogra (as far as I know.. could be wrong) Please check on their website.

The longer (21 day + and 30 day + ) fares would of course be much cheaper and could be a little over Rs. 4000/- for instance IA offers (Apex 21 Rs. 4,326/-)

This is roughly what I know from planning a recent trip which I made to the north east.. I cannot readily find more precise information.

Actually, no you cannot. They will not give Indian fares. Only the fares they charge for foreigners. I'm looking for the local price which I can get because of my residence permit.

Also, judging by the prices given in most of the replies here you are all looking at the fare for foreigners and not for locals. Thanks for taking the time, though!

If anybody, especially travel agents who frequent this site can help on this issue, I'd really appreciate it. Ideally, I'd like to buy the ticket from here. Barring that, I at least need to know the price so I know how much money to have on hand when I land.

The entire chart is their del- bagdogra is RS 3811(30 days apex fare) am sure u have frnds who can book it for u and u can pick it up at the airport, otherwise the normal fare is RS 9031/-.

I booked my airfares with Jet Airways in Australia, you just have to go to the site map section on the main page and click on 'our offices' then click on the overseas tab and cclick on the drop menu and select USA... anyway here are the details:

The airfares for people of Indian origin and ppl carrying PIO card is different than foreigner,so in case you pay approx 150$ for a flight we would pay maybe 100 $ for the same flight.

I have just enquired that the appex fare can be received only after showing your recidential permits. The Apex fare one way and non cancellable is RS.3811 (oneway) Del-IXb
