re discount search engines

Does anyone have an experience with yatra.com? Is it reliable? Any other info we should know?

Yatra , ClearTrip and MakeMyTrip -- I have booked with them and have had no issues.

I just talked to Yatra.com by e-mail. They said to call them on their 800 line, and scan the front and back of my credit card to them. My security sense is very unhappy doing that, especially since I normally use my virtual credit card for online transactions. I will see how the other two work. Thanks for the suggestion.

discount search engines

Further to my researches on discount search engines: Yatra.com's site says they only accept for Indian residents, however when I e-mailed them, they said to call them, since their site is not for foreigners and they gave a phone number useable (allegedly, I haven't tried it) from the US. However, they want you to scan your credit card front and back to them and authorize them to use it. I am way too security conscious to do that! ClearTrip.com is for Indian residents only, according to their FAQs. MakeMyTrip does not make reservations within India, only to India.

I was asked to fax the front and back copy of my credit card (issued in India) to makemytrip's US office when I bought a ticket from NY to Delhi.

I guess there were some issues with charging the card for which they needed a copy of the card. It worked fine for me and nothing untoward happened.
