purchasing airticket with credit card: help please
Hi!
I just tried purchasing a domestic flight (Mumbai-Varanasi) through Spicejet online from overseas (Canada). After entering all my CC info a message stating there was an error/problem with my CC appeared. However, when I called my CC company(Visa), they said the transaction was authorized and was waiting for the company to credit my account. What does this mean? Do I have a ticket (probably not)? If the transaction was not successful what are my alternatives as this is my only CC? If it was successful, how do I get proof of purchase etc? Thanks for your help. |

Shouldn't there be a link on the Spicejet site where you can check what tickets you are holding... I know when I've booked tickets online here and in India (through make my trip though), I could see the tickets online by clicking on a link... Should you have received an eticket by email? Wait and see if that comes..?

Kristin, thanks. I checked my email and a copy of the itinerary was there and the reservation# worked for confirming/looking up my reseration.
Sorry for the freak out moment. But is that all I need. It just seems a little weird that my purchasing session ended so abruptly (on a page notifying me about an error). I guess it doesn't really matter now. Hopefully, they didn't charge me twice since I tried a second time thinking the first time was unsuccessful. ![]() |

I know, it feels weird not having those tickets in hand... welcome to the cyberworld. I was terrified each time we checked in clutching our little printout that the booking would be non-existent.. but it always worked!
About the second charge - Uh Oh, I'd check that one out just to make sure - although if you don't receive a second email... are you sure the email wasn't from the second go not the first? |

You had better contact spicejet, they are the right people to clarify that.

Thanks, I emailed them later that day but haven't gotten a response yet. So I will call if I must.
However, I'm wondering whether it's a bad idea to wait until I arrive in Mumbai to buy the tickets directly. I will be arriving May 1 and want to fly to Varanasi May 8 (give or take 1 day). Is this too risky? What are the chances of me getting a ticket? |
