price of pick up at Delhi airport

Does anyone know the usual price of pick up at Delhi airport and ride into town?
How much are prepaid taxis?

PREPAID taxis are easily available and the charge would be around Rs.250/- and there will be difference 20 to 25 rupees from International airport & Domestic airport.

Thats. I thought a pick up charge of 800 rupees was way out of line. It turns out I was finally able to reach a friend of mine who runs a yogashram and natural hospital in Patpar ganj and i will stay there instead of central Delhi. Still I don't think it should be too expensive with prepaid taxi.

We used them for our airport pickup (and Delhi tour the next day) and were VERY happy with these services. It definitely beat a pre-paid taxi (which I've done before) to have someone there waiting for us.

I booked a pickup and hotel with Namaste India Tours for October and they delivered as promised -- and were sooo nice about everything that I want to go back and ride around Delhi with my driver again! He was a very sweet and funny guy!

Does this agency (or others) run similar services in other cities? Mumbai, Chennai, Hydrabad.......?

No we are only in Delhi. It is hard enough to control the actions of one's employees when they are in your same city! Our success depends almost entirely on our relationship with our drivers--there is no way we could monitor things efficiently in far-flung cities. We do have "agents" who can assist us with services in Varanassi, Katmandu, Shimla, Udaipur and Jaisalmer, but all our services originate in Delhi.
