Mumbai -> Srinagar by plane. Help needed!

Hello everyone. It will be the first time I travel to India. Can you help me to find the cheapest airline to travel? I'm coming to Mumbai on 26th of March than I need to go to Gulmarg which is in Kashmir, gonna stay there for 8 days and than go to Goa. I want to travel by plane inside the country, so as I understand I need to go by plane from Mumbai to Delhi and form Delhi to Srinagar. And same way to Goa afterwards. Please provide me with information :-) I really need your help guys!

privet abadonna (sounds scary!) I thought you already had you question answered - by steven_ber i believe. there is simply no other way than to fly to Srinagar via Delhi (Mumbai-Delhi-Srinagar).

the flight Delhi-Srinagar is operated by Air India and Jet Airways, and I believe without much difference in prices Jet Airways is miles better on service. you can check their schedules and fares on www.jetairways.com. If you want to check your luggage through to Srinagar you shoud fly with one airline both legs of your trip.

From Srinagar, take a bus (cheap) or taxi (listed tourist price Rs 1100 return from Srinagar).

if something is not clear pls feel free to send me a PM.

...oh, and they love Russians in Kashmir have a lovely trip!

You want it cheaper I guess. So, take a train directly to Jammu. I believe it is called Swaraj express. Once you reach Jammu, you can even take a taxi to Srinagar.

The air ticket from Jammu to Srinagar should be pretty cheap, around 2000Rs.
However, travelling by road is anyday more enjoyable when it comes to mountains.

You can reach Kashmir by land as well (also in winter), you can rent a jeep & driver in Delhi and have a 24 hours journey to Srinagar for about 8000 RS (the price is per jeep). A bus ride for 300 RS is your third option, but I would not recommend it!

Ok ok :-) What I wanted to say is that ticket by plane will cost around 130 USD, and as I know it's 8000 Rps to travel by jeep. There's 5 of us so it will be cheaper for us to take jeep. And few questions: Have you been at Gulmarg? What can you say abouth that place? We are going there for skiing, gonna stay there for one week aproximately. What HB would you recommend to stay at in Srinagar? Mozhet na translite pisat'? :-) Moy angliyskiy ne nastol'ko horow. Na rodnoy move prosche pisat'...
