Mumbai International Airport
COULD ANYBODY BE OF ASSISTANCE PLEASE. THIS WILL BE OUR SECOND VISIT TO INDIA, AND WE'RE DOING IT "OUR WAY" NOT THE TRAVEL AGENTS WAY.WE ARE DUE TO ARRIVE AT MUMBAI INT'L AIRPORT AT 3.05am AND DEPART THE SAME AIRPORT ON AN INTERNAL FLIGHT TO GOA AT 5.00am, GIVING US 1hr 55mins TO GET OUR GEAR AND CLEAR CUSTOMS. IS THIS POSSIBLE TO DO THIS, OR SHOULD I BOOK A LATER FLIGHT. THANX. JAFFERZ ![]() |

Dear jafferz,
I've flown through Mumbai a few times now, and will soon be flying back to head to Goa! It takes about an hour to clear immigration and customs, in my experience. Most of this time is spent waiting for baggage to come out on the carousel. Please be aware that at Mumbai, there are two different airports for international and domestic flights. It took me about 15 minutes to shuttle between them last time, but if I were you I'd budget a little more time than that. I personally would not schedule the domestic flight so close. |

If your flight is not a connecting flight, you will probably miss the domestic sector.
Check in for domestic flights is one hour before flight departure time. My information is dated, but last I knew some airlines could be checked in at the International airport itself, though you still have to make the trip to domestic. At 3am, that trip will take 10/15 mins. However, the timing is too close, even if your international flight is on time.

THANX GUYS FOR YOUR SWIFT AND CONCISE REPLIES. THE ONLY REASON I WAS THINKING OF DOING IT THAT WAY, WAS THAT THE FLIGHT TO GOA WAS VERY CHEAP @£30ish. ANYTHING LATER IN THE DAY WAS COMING OUT NEARLY DOUBLE.
WOULD IT BE A GOOD IDEA TO ARRIVE IN MUMBAI THEN BOOK AN INTERNAL FLIGHT WHEN I ARRIVE, RATHER THAN DO IT FROM THE U.K AS THERE SEEMS TO PLENTY TO GO AT. BUT AT THE RIGHT PRICE. WHO KNOWS ![]() |

err, small letters, please?
A flight booked last minute is likely to be more expensive than anything booked earlier. |

If both ur international and domestic flights on the same airline, u might just still be ok.
else, book on a later flight. and book early. prices dont get cheaper nearer to the date....they only get more expensive. All the best. |
