If you make straight for the Domestic terminal when you land, I expect you will have plenty of time. I'm not sure how long before a domestic flight you're supposed to be at the airport - but a taxi shouldn't take too long - though there won't be time for any sightseeing that's for sure!! ![]() |

| No problem - you have plenty of time. Assuming you are a foreigner, you'll have to queue up with your passport and your bit of paper (filled in on the aeroplane), in the foreigners' queue. Rush to the passport desks (the queues can be long) and go through passport control and customs. Then you make your way TOWARDS the exit (not TO the exit) and turn down a corridor to your left. There is a waiting area for the free bus to take you to the domestic terminal, which takes 15 to 20 minutes. Buses come regularly, and they drive only on the airport, not on the public roads. If you were to take a taxi (I have absolutely no idea why anyone would want to take a taxi) you would be on public roads and this would undoubtedly take a lot longer. I would guess that you will be in the in domestic terminal within an hour of landing.

| Account closed on user's request | Just found this information online, hope it's helpful Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic/International Airport Transfer Chhatrapati Shivaji Domestic Airport is located 26 km away from Mumbai. Bus – An airport bus service operates between the airports and the Air India Building at Nariman Point. The journey takes an hour to the domestic terminal and fifteen minutes longer to the international terminal. However, be warned that during peak-hour traffic the journey could last almost two hours. Tickets can be bought either on the buses or at the booth outside the Air India Building. There is also a shuttle bus that operates at regular intervals between the domestic and international airports. Taxi – Pre-paid taxis, metered taxis and motor rickshaws are available at the airport (journey time to the city centre: 90-180 minutes). Rail – A railway reservation counter is also situated in Terminal 2, for connections to the metro rail system; trains run to he nearby airport Mumbai CST Terminus (formerly known as the Victoria Terminus) and Churchgate for connections to Mumbai and destinations throughout India. |

| Ronny - the advice about the free bus travelling inside the airport complex is absolutely correct (I've done it) - and the drive is nearer 15/20 minutes than an hour. DON'T LEAVE THE AIRPORT, the bus you want is well signed and will get you there in ample time. |
