Kingfisher ticket booking

Hi everybody,

I want to book a flight from Delhi to Leh mid of May and I'm not able to book via their website. They do not except creditcards that are from outside of India. WHY do they have a website at all?? I called them just now and had been told to book via a indian travelagency. Does anybody has a address of a trustworth website?? Or how do you all book your flights??

Thank you very much for your help.

Jochen

Trust worthy, yes.
But do they accept foreign cards? I'm not so sure.

If you searched the forum a bit ,you will find a thread stating cleartrip.com is easy to use and safe.i think it was posted by a foreigner who might have used his foreign card.check the thread and site.

I have booked directly from the US on their website - I however use Amex. So I know that they use nonindian CC. I have also used makemytrip.com

I've used Spicejet. They accept foreign credit cards.

Note that some cards, Mastercard in particular, will not approve any transactions with Indian sites unless you call the credit card company to tell them you'll be using the card for Indian transactions.

Is this true ? I just returned after spending a month in India, used all three types of cards (Amex/Visa/MC) without hassle in stores, restaurants. However I use Amex for online ticketing.

It is for Mastercards issued in Canada. First time I tried to book a hotel on Travelguru they did not approve the transaction. I tried twice more and they put a hold on the card. Visa is more lenient.

Last July I have booked a flight via their web page from Mangalore to Mumbai. My credit card was issued in Spain not in India. May be they have changed the conditions.

Try vayama.com

I know it is not an indian booking engine; I have used it to book tickets between two non-US O&D (Origin & Destination) for flights. They take CC cards from whole slew of countries.

I've tried to book flights with Kingfisher using both mastercard and visa today, but repeatedly unsuccessful. Someone on this thread mentioned 'makemytrip' but they seemed to get less than rave reviews too. Fortunately was easy to book with travelocity without a hitch Arty

I found a good price for Mumbai-Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai flight with Kingfisher at ixigo.com, but when I tried to select the flight at Kingfisher website, the price was doubled. Has Kingfisher begun to take double price from foreigners?
I'm quite sure that my flight Mumbai-Cochin-Mumbai in January-February this year was in same price as for Indians.
