Kingfisher flight -- Udaipur to Jaisalmer -- April?

Dear all,

I checked last week on Kingfisher airline website and found that there is a flight from Udaipur to Jaisalmer in early April (9 April) to be exact. But when I tried to book today, I found that there is no flight for the whole April?

May I kindly know that if the flight from Udaipur to Jaisalmer is cancelled after March? Or there will be still flight available in April?

Anyone know the news or anyone have tried this flight?

Just a very quick reply without any research, so forgive me if I'm wrong.

The flight was never listed as a direct Udaipur-Jaisalmer flight, it was listed as 2 seperate flights I think, you could try booking Udaipur-Jodhpur and Jodhpur-Jaisalmer to see if that works.

Maybe try booking Jodhpur-Jaisalmer first, if the flight to Jaisalmer has been cancelled, you may then want to rethink your Itinerary.

Please let us know if this flight has been cancelled.

EDIT NOTE - OK, I got the above info wrong, the Udaipur-Jaisalmer flight is listed as a direct flight, I just checked their website and all their flights are only listed as operational till 31st March, so it seems like their new timetable will start from then.

So, sorry, this post isn't helpful at all.

I received an e-mail from Kingfisher and it doesn't look good.

Kingfisher say "we would like to inform you that currently the flight schedule updates and booking for Udaipur-Jaisalmer sector are available till 29th March 2008. While at this stage, we are unable to give you any confirmation on the resumption of flight operation for this sector. However, we would like to inform you that we are now into a phase of rapid expansion and are looking at establishing the best possible network and frequency."

So I done a quick few checks on their website.....

Nothing to Jaisalmer from April, and the Udaipur-Aurangabad flight has it's timings changed completely, the plane used for the Udaipur-Aurangabad flight is the same one used for the Udaipur-Jaisalmer flight.

So the new timings seem to have been agreed (and bookings allowed), this would suggest to me that Kingfisher's Jaisalmer flights will no longer operate from April.

Yes, correct thanks Steven - I just found out last night that all flights are cancelled after March 29th. Nothing at all available through April, May or June. However word is there are 3 companies starting in July, kingfisher being one of them. I think another is Air Deccan but no one is sure who the other 2 are. All speculation at present.
