I was at Kingfisher Air website yesterday. In the AM I got it to work and it told me that there are 3 flights a day from Delhi to Kolkata. In the PM I couldn't get past an advert. Very annoying. However, I had printed up the information I needed I needed in the AM....
Okay, that's neither here nor there. What I want to know if anyone has flown Kingfisher? Was it pleasant? Do you get freebies (i.e., beer)? Also, the price of a one way ticket is $150 + $103 in other fees. Is $253 a reasonable rate or expensive for this journey? Last edited by machadinha : Mar 14th, 2008 at 03:38. There are plenty of threads on this site on experiences with Kingfisher, so search around some.
For starters, if you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you'll find a list of "similar threads." Opening any of those will again give you similar threads at bottom, etc. ad infinitum.

I didn't know about the stuff at the bottom of the page. Searching Indiamike, which I don't think is easy, has now gotten easier. And I've explored the links and have basically found what I was looking for. Thanks!

It flew IT last month DEL-BOM route - It is a top notch airline in terms of service and delivery. The food was comparable to what 9W serves. The inflight crew is very young (who in India is old
) so they might be slightly slow on the uptake - but they do compensate it with enthusiasm. The seats in coach had PTV to keep one occupied. I doubt 9W has that or IFE in their planes (at least in the sector I flew) |

I flew Kingfisher from Cochin to Chennai and it was fine. was only a 90 minute flight but they gave us food (which I did not eat since I was flying with food poisoning) and free pens!
what pissed me off was that since I was very sick I wanted to get back to chennai one day earlier. I called to change my reservation but they charged $100 to change my flight which I thought was outrageous but in my condition I had no choice. the original flight was $100 (one way). I guess I should have asked for more free pens.

The aisles are somewhat narrow... too narrow sometimes. I had inadvertently headbutted a stewardess once...
