Kingfisher cancelled flight - advice

I booked a flight for 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children) back in November for Goa to Jaipur in April on Kingfisher via makemytrip.com. Today I decided to check all the details for our flights and found out that the flight has been cancelled. I phoned the UK number for Kingfisher and they said that I can get a full refund or travel via Mumbai or Delhi. I've asked to go via Mumbai but they then said they will not be able to confirm the flights yet as the price via Mumbai is more than I've already paid. Also they said that they cannot give me any e-tickets or email confirmation but that I should use the ticket I currently have for Goa Jaipur. I have a couple of questions (1) Can Kingfisher charge me more for having to take a different flight because they cancelled the original flight? and (2) do you think it's okay to have nothing in writing about the cancellation or the new flights? Also I haven't yet had any communication from makemytrip - should I be concerned about this? any advice appreciated. Thank you

Look at the T&C with Makemytrip.com and Contract of carriage with IT(Kingfisher). If they ticketed you for goa-jaipur; they have to honour it.
