Kingfisher cancellation policy

Tried online cancellation of my 0505hrs. Delhi to Leh flight on 11th July on Kingfisher Airlines and was told that the cancellation has failed and that I should contact the call centre. Did so and was then told that I could only cancel on telephone by contacting the internet cancellation centre. Did that too and was put on hold with a waiting time of ten minutes. After about twenty minutes, the waiting time reduced to two minutes. A few more minutes and surprise! the waiting time went back to ten minutes. Hung up and called again and yes, the whole thing just repeated. Tried yet again and again for more than two hours but no luck. No cancellation.
Has anyone else experienced this?

No exactly. But, it does not surprise me. I missed a flight once because Kingfisher staff at the airport asked me to stand in the wrong queue.

Done

Managed to cancel the ticket after an early morning call to the Kingfisher call centre. Was still put on hold for about fifteen minutes but eventually got through and cancelled the ticket.

I'm experiencing that same dilemma at the moment. I have tried several times cancelling my reservation online and always fail. Instructions says that I should contact call center number which i did over and over but can't seem to get through. I have tried almost all the numbers posted in the web for kingfisher but can't seem to contact them. Does it mean I will be ending up just like you? No cancellation!

About a month ago, I booked two tickets on a Kingfisher flight that was delayed by two hours- announced (and emailed to be) about twelve hours in advance.

When I tried to cancel online, it failed. I called up the call centre/toll free number, waited about five minutes, was told that since the flight was delayed by more than an hour I was entitled to a full refund, if I wanted to cancel (Different airlines have different rules). I did, since I had a connecting flight to catch that would be now missed.

My tickets were cancelled by the call centre guy, I got a confirmatory email within seconds telling me how much I would be refunded (the complete amount I spent) and my credit card refunded in full within three days or so.

PS:taly, I am in India, and I called either
1 860 266 9000 or
1 800 200 9000- this number is toll free in India.

If you are in the Philippines, see the bottom of this page for Kingfisher call centre numbers-- the one for 'rest of the world' may apply to you (+91 20 2729 3030)
