Kingfisher Airlines

When booking with Kingfisher Airlines it asks you if you are Indian or other, has anyone booked it under Indian resident when they are not? Its just that other comes up as USD and is more expensive

I think all airlines charge what is known as dollar fare from foreigners which is more than the rupee fare.

You can register as a Local!!!!!!!!!!

Hello world,
You can register AS a local and buy the ticket as a local. I have done it many times. You see, most people don't realize this but in India, you don't have to provide ID when you are boarding any domestic plane. YOu can even give a different name when you are booking the ticket and it doesn't matter. (as long as you say you are a local- doesn't matter what your background is)

It Doesn't matter if you are indian, chinese, black, white or what because India has all nationality of people living there.

And YES it is true, buying as local is almost 30% cheaper if not more. So i suggest you buy as a Local. Trust me on this, they can not and will NOT force you to give ID because they don't check anyone else anyways.

In terms of buying your ticket online and vs buying it when you are there. I suggest you to buy the ticket when you are already in india... it would be a lot cheaper even if its short notice.

Another way to save money in traveling india is to travel at night flights if possible, they are usually 50% cheaper then day flights.

This goes for the hotels too... MAKE SURE to BARGIN!! thats the key to everything in india... even if they pretend that its fix price... its NOT.

I actually had to sign up a membership to do this posting... so I hope its worth while for a few out there!!

have a great trip to india.. whoever is going.!!

OOH yeah... one more thing... Taxi rental ...as you know already all taxi's come with drivers. This should NOT cost more than 3000 ruppies a day! this includes the cost of the driver, gas, AC CAR.. and the tour guide which is your driver. .. up to four travelers.

once again all the best and if you need any help just drop me an email.

bobby_sami@hotmail.com. I am from Vancouver Canada so i can't really help you in india.. but can definately give you the best of guidelines as to what to do and what not to do!...
