JetLite vs IndiGo -- any thoughts?

We have a choice of JetLite and IndiGo airlines for one leg of our journey within India. JetLite is sligthly (about Rs 500) more expensive than IndiGo.
Which is a better airline, in terms of punctuality & service? Does anyone recommend one airline over another?

Go for Indigo. It's got brand new aircrafts. In terms of punctuality Indigo is ahead of Jetlite.

Jetlite is what used to be Sahara airlines.
It was taken over by Jet and is now run as the low cost Jetlite. But they still retain certain features of full service airlines like meals etc.

These days, punctuality is often as much a function of airport congestion than anything else... don't think any airline has that much control there.

IndiGo any day. They advertise themselves as India's Coolest airline, and it takes some spunk to do that and get away with it :-)

go with jetlite- they dont cramp you in like cattle (indigo has A320s with all economy - jetlite has 737 with 2 class) so more space.
oh and - you get food!
