With the induction of the Airbus 340-300E into its fleet, Jet Airways became the first Indian airline to use this type of aircraft on its long-haul routes.
Jet Airways, the largest privately owned airline in India, is set to continue its global expansion with the commencement of direct flights from London to Mumbai on May 23.
Flights will operate daily from Heathrow Terminal 3, departing in the evening and arriving in Mumbai the following morning.
