I'll always remember my first flight because, It was so beautiful,,,,,,
Delhi 1971, I'd managed to get a black market student ID card from somewhere & as Indian Airlines gave a generous discount
(wish I could remember how much the fare was then) got the money together for a one way ticket to shrinagar.
Boarded the plane, took off, hit the cloud, cloud & more cloud,
but then, port side, rising so majestically through the clouds a perfect conicle shaped mountain peak, (like an upside down ice cream cone) It had snow all round the top which glistened in the sunlight. I was in awe, and it's a vision that's stayed with me since. Loads of flights since, But that was the one for me,

Has anyone else anything memorable,,,,,,,,,,

Dont remember the first flight... No one can blame me, I was one year and a few months old....

What I would remember most in flight, is the sight of Great Wall from the sky while flying out of beijing......

Has anyone flown over Pune?? Astonishing green mountain ranges. Hay it’s a bit frightening also.

HI

I had been to Maldives on a vacation. And what a place to be in. And, the Airport has the most scenic run way.

The run way is the tip of Male island, and the run way is in the seat. It has waves splashing on too sides, as the flight lands. And, it is a platform that is constructed in the sea.

Beautiful, u must see it to believe.

You sight several islands as u fly in and out of Male. They are in the ocean, in the middle of no where ,and beautiful.

I'll always remember my first flight for the disappointment of finding a sour faced "air-host" instead of a cute, smiling air hostess!!

This was aboard a 15-seater dornier, run by Vayudoot; and I was travelling from Mumbai to Nanded in January, 1986.
