Lightbulb How/where to purchase domestic flight tickets at Mumbai just before the flight

I am planning to come to BOM from Newyork on the last week of March but not sure when exactly do I reach there. There are so many issues that makes it uncertain. Whichver day it is, my flight reach BOM INTL terminal at 10 PM. I need to connect to Cochin (COK) and there is a Air india flight to COK at 1:30 midnight that operates from BOM INTL airport. (Actually the plane is parked at BOM doemstic but you need to checkin at BOM INTL and they take you/and luggage to the plane at BOM Domestic just before the flight).

I can purchase BOM-COK ticket online. But as its uncertain, I would prefer to purchase from a counter/booth at BOM INTL terminal after reaching BOM that night.

Question to experts : Is it possible ? If yes, how can I do it ?Where is the counter/booth ? are they open at 10 pm ? Any other caveats ?

Approciate advise.

I did realize that, but it gives you something to do in between flights, like get fresh, sleep, or sight see, after checking into a budget place like the Salvation Army hostel in Colaba.

All Airlines have their ticket office at the departure hall of domestic terminal, however, there may be a chance that the flight has no seat, if you decide to buy just before a flight.

If you have some time why not book a ticket in advance !

Thanks delhiwala.
The problem is, (as i mentioned in OP) I am not sure what day do I reach there until I reach there..

Are these offices open at mid night ? Do they (specifically Air India) have the same ticketing office at BOM INTL terminal somehere ? The flight I am looking for from BOM-COK is starting from BOM INTL terminal eventhough it is a domestic flight.

Thanks again.
