how NRIs can buy domestic APEX ticket from abroad
[I posted this in another thread but decided to repeat it in its own thread. Sorry about the double post.]
I hav bought APEX tickets while in the US, from an Indian travel agent by credit card. It is Trans India Holidays, see http://www.transindiaholidays.com. They respond to e-mail, use a secure server for CC transactions, and will send the tickets anywhere you want by registered post (I usually have them mailed within India to wherever I am going first). They charge 4% extra for CC but it still saves a lot of money. And I have never been asked for ID when boarding. How many resident Indians do you know that carry ID? I have no personal or financial interest in this company. |

Good info. For all regular travelers to Inda, I also suggest getting an Indian drivers licence. It will serve as your ID and also let you drive. :-)
