Question How much time needed between domestic flights?

I'm flying from Udaipur into Mumbai on Indian Airlines, then switch to Jet Airway and fly to Aurangabad. In between, I have only 1 hour and 15 minutes. Is that enough time or should I book differnt flights that allow more layover time? The alternative is 6 hr 15 min layover, which isn't appealing. Hopfully, I'll only have a carry on bag but some airline make me check in my backpack because it is too big.

well ...this would be a difficult situation..as Mumbai is a very busy airport..and generally flights do not get landing slot on time and have to hover over the airport for an average of 30 minutes...

and after that you need to checkin to second airline as well...which I am sure would have a cutoff time of atleast 30 minutes...you might end up in a very tight position...

it's a gamble. whilst flying spice jet i had about an hour and 15 minutes between flights, but, on the advice of the customer service rep, i chose to take a later flight out. as it turns out, i got there in time, but had i not, i would have lost the ticket. the expense and anxiety was not worth it.
