Has Anyone Flown With Spice Jet Airlines ??

Howdy, folks. I am taking four domestic flights in India in October: Indian Airlines from Mumbai to Jodhpur, Jet Airways from Jodhpur to Delhi and TWO flights with a new airline called Spice Jet, which has really low fares. So far I'm impressed with them because they have actually responded to my e-mail questions and allow for online seat selection. But I know they are a new airline and I wanted to know if anybody has any experience with them. Any thoughts, complaints, concerns or kudos ??

Thanks very much,

Greg in New york

I went from Delhi to Mumbai with Spice Jet. It was nice and it was kind of like a bus...it stopped in Ahmedabad as a 'stop' and people got off who wanted to go there and other people got on who wanted to go to Mumbai. If you care about airplane food, I didnt think it was that good, they gave some hard cookies..but food doesnt matter to me on planes ..all airplane food is gross anyways, lol..

it was good for the cheap price!

flew to delhi and back. flight delayed half an hour on the way back but that was because of the upheaval as this was the day of the bombay train blasts last month.

basic, no frills, cookies and water. no other problems. better than air deccan.

As Captain Mahajan Said ....Definately better than Air Deccan...If high flight tariffs are an issue then also, only when u see a substantial difference in fares between taht of Spicejet, Go Air and Air Deccan, then preffer it...else no way you should go for Air Deccan...Spicejet is much better and Go air is an alternative you can look out for.
