Gulf Air

Will be flying with Gulf Air to Bombay and am thinking of booking an onward connection flight to Goa, but which airline is their partner in the Indian Subcontinent (depending they have one)?

Thanks in advance!

why do youu want to do it with a partner airline? Just pick the lowest cost carrier. Also, do check the luggage restrictions. the domestic carriers are more restrictive than international one.

I don't see the info on the Gulf website, but Indian Airlines shows Gulf as a partner and probably the other full service airlines, Jet and Sahara are as well.

If saving money is a consideration, you might try booking one of the discount airlines directly, as their price less than half of the 'big three'. For example, IA lists the non-resident Mumbai-Goa fare as $105 while Spice Jet is 1749 rp ($40) and Deccan is about the same at 1704 rp (plus tax for all fares)

Deccan has 2 flights -- 0525 and 1345 (flight time around 1 1/2 hours)
Spice Jet's flight is at 1615 and takes an hour

Gulf Air seem to have a habit of over booking flights, then kicking the Indians off in favour of others. Not nice.

Allright, thank you for your advice!

I actually rang up Gulf Air this morning and asked them about cooperating airlines in India. She said it would be a lot cheaper to book independently instead of through them. Maybe that's what I should do?

that would be my choice -- Spice Jet and Deccan can be booked on the internet; you can find the websites and other info on domestic flying here:
