Going to India FROM Europe.

Just wondering whether anyone has any info on the cheapest route to india via europe. Im in ireland at the moment and wonder whether it would be cheaper travelling through europe and getting a flight to india via somewhere like germany than flying to london to india.

Anybody know ?

Two Irish girls I met in India told me that they flew with air Turkmenistan or Tadjikistan (Or one of the former USSR "Stans" anyway) from Ireland for very cheap.

Turkmanistan airlines fly Lhr and Birmingham to Delhi with an hours stopover at Ashkabad ,

They fly twice a week Tues and Sat .
I flew with them some years back , it was great , the plane was
only 1/2 full , you could kip at the back of the plane , and
you flew down over the mountains of afghanistan , the
views were the only the dogs danglies . (I assume you are not one of thoes yoyos whoes worried about travelling)
They are quiet booked up over the xmas period , but other than that they are fine and the fares are cheeper .

the reason i ask is that i have seen many adverts for charter flights to goa from london for £300, some less, but charter flights do restrict you a little, they are normally for 2 weeks, although they can be extended, probibly at a cost.

Yea I know , Iv heard of flights to Goa for £180 (last minute),through some of these companies before 14/12 ,then they get expensive over the christmas period ( which is the time I always go ) .
Also you can be restricted to the state of Goa only .
B A fare at the moment is £670 for xmas
Royal jordanian is slightly less .
Turkmanistan are the best iv found at the mo , though its a pain to have to go back to Delhi .
