goa to kathmandu by air cheap- possible?

i would like to go from goa to kathmandu but can go from mumbai instead if it is substantially cheaper... if anyone has any advice on where/how to get the cheapest tickets i would greatly appreciate it. leaving asap. thx!

this info is from a september 2002 timetable that contains info regarding : indian airlines, jagson, air sahara and jetair,

there are no direct frights from goa to katmandu.

you can fly from goa to katmandu with only one change via mumbai, delhi or bangalore.

flights from goa to mumbai cost US$95, to delhi $245, to bangalore $115. (all daily)

mumbai to katmandu (mondays and fridays) $257

delhi to katmandu (daily) $142

bangalore to katmandu (thursdays and sundays) $257

I checked a couple of alternatives to kathmandu from Goa last year (Jan '02). At that time Royal Air Nepal flew from Mumbai 3 times per week for 210$ -- it would work fine with a night train from Goa. i believe this service was suspended for a while last year when Nepal had a lot of problems and no tourism...i got info from a trav agent in Goa so would be easy for you to check if it is of interest. Also, if you are 'under 30' there is a 25% discount available on flights, but don't know if this applies to international flights.
