Goa to Chennai - info. on flights

I am looking for a bit of info. if possible.

I need to fly from Goa to Chennai on a Friday in April and would like to know if anyone who has made this trip before can advise of a good airline to use.

I have made some internet enquiries but so far the best option I can find is with Indian Airlines but this doesn't seem to be a direct flight. The info says via Bangalore.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The cheaper the better.

Hi Joseph

Its true, there is no direct connection between Goa to Chennai.

Best is to go via Mumbai. You can get very cheap Mumbai-Chennai and Goa-Mumbai ticket.

A quick search at www.cleartrip.com reveals:
Indian flight via Bangalore
Jet Airways flight via Bombay
Kingfisher flights via Bangalore and Bombay
Other options with Air Sahara (Goa-Delhi-Madras!!!)

A point of note - I have read that there has been a change in air fee rules and that, as a non-Indian national, I can now buy my flight at the INR rate as opposed to having to select the (normally much more expensive) USD fee.

I am planning on checking with the airline prior to booking though.
