Goa - Chennai flights
Hi there,
Quick query- I wonder whether any of he wise IMers out there can help. We need to fly from Goa to Chennai on 15th February. The only airline I can find that flies that route is Indian, who we'd really rather notuse (quite expensive, and virtually impossible to get tickets, in our experence) Does anyone know of any other airline that flies the route? I can find routings via Mumbai, but they involve more than one airline and end u being rather pricey. Any help most grateflly received! Best wishes Jason |

I need to fly this route in April and have done some research on it.
Indian Airlines and Air Deccan have the most convenient routes (both via Bangalore). NB -so far I have been unable to find a direct flight and I don't think they exist. Air Deccan offer the same prices to everyone and are quite cheap, as opposed to Indian Airlines whith whom you would need to pay the (much dearer) USD fee as a foreginer. BUT -the Air Deccan site will not accept non-Indian registered cards. With Spicejet you may need to fly via Mumbai from what I can see. You will be able to buy the Indian Airlines flight but this will mean paying about 3 times as much as Air Deccan and maybe going through a British agent. The conclusion I have come to is this: in order to get a decent price on a convenient route I will need to wait until I am in the country and buy the Air Deccan flight from an agent over there. I appreciate I have not offered a solution but I hope this is useful. There is some relevant info in this thread: Paying for an Indian air ticket with non-Indian credit card? |

Just looking at the Kingfisher site now and they have some convenient - looking flights via Bangalore.
Does anyone know if they offer INR fees to foreigners and accept foreign cards? ![]() |

Thanks everyone for their help. I found that India does fly directly, indeed, but only one day a week (Tuesday, I think). Otherwise, it's via Bangalore or Mumbai.
If you have to fly on a non-direct day, strangely Indian turns out a little cheaper than Kingfisher. Jason |

Have you checked Air Deccan?
They have the cheapest prices I have seen so far. |
