Go Air

Is it possible for foreigners to book online with Go Air http://www.goair.in or is it just for Indians?
The reason I ask is when I went to book my flight it prompts for an address so I wonder maybe if it is for Indians only.
Anyone any experience of booking a Go Air flight?

I can't give you a definitive answer to your question, but I also had no luck booking a flight -- several times I got to the point of giving credit card information and no further. It was particularly annoying as there was also a warning not to refresh or backspace as it might cause double booking/debiting so I sat for 10-15 minutes waiting for something to happen before giving up. I wound up booking with SpiceJet (which always works for me) for a flight at a slightly less convenient time.

I'm not indian and I booked online with goair twice last winter and did not have any problem.

What address did you use, your Swedish one?

I used a random Indian address, It was an eticket, does not really matter what address you use.

Thanks Anders! Has anyone else done the same? just want to be doubling sure before trying this, can't risk being turned away at check-in.

Despite numerous attempts to book the flight online I've failed, I get to the page to fill out credit card details then click the "Pay Now" button and it does absolutely nothing. Their website is very poor.
Would anyone have a GO Air booking number that I can ring from outside India, the only one I can find is a toll free one which I don't think I can dial outside the country?

Perhaps they could direct you to a 'non-India toll free' or other centralised customer service number?

Ok would you believe I've been trying to use the Go Air site using Firefox browser, by mistake I logged on with Internet Explorer it works a lot better!! So warning for the future users only use IE when using Go Air website!!
Now I've booked my flight Still a slight worry as in my ticket summary it shows billing details with my country as India. It doesn't have my address on the actual e-ticket so hopefully like Anders said it should be ok.

I got a response from Go Air on my query about foreigners booking through the site

"........Kindly note that the Zipcode provided should be of the city/town of India. You may enter an default address for making your reservations............"

So basically what I take from this is the address doesn't matter at all. Happy Days.

One of the things I've noticed when booking travel arrangements on certain Indian websites (IRCTC, I'm looking at you..) is that if you're using an alternative browser, other than Internet Explorer, they frequently process your payment and then lead you to blank pages. The experience has scarred me so much that I now use Internet Explorer whenever I have to book something important like air or train tickets (because not confirming my travel scars me more than using IE, which is a big thing to say!!!)..

...And I hear that "some websites will not yet work with IE7" so it doesn't look as if MS are learning any lessons about web standards.
