I recently wanted to travel on BA and cash in one frequent flyer miles with them and buy two tickets, along with it. What an ordeal. No frequent flyer ticket available till next year. I wasn't gonna purchase that ticket after saving all those miles.
1. What advice would you give me? 2. Is going through a travel agent better than dealing directly with the airline? 3. Any recommendations?

I've often cashed my FF's in with KLM on their flying dutchman program with no problems....what does it say in the 'rules and regulations' small print on your contract thingy? It doesn't surprise me about BA though, they seem to change their 'rules' to suit themselves - it wouldn't be the first timje I've heard complaints from users about them!
