Thumbs down flying in india

if you're thinking of flying in India, don't bother with Deccan Air. They're unreliable, but even worse when they cancel a flight they don't reimburse you. Am still waiting one month, after endless mails and endless phone calls, at my expense, for a reimbursement from a cacelled flight from Kullu to Delhi. Have had great luck w Jet Lite and Air India though.

Yes! I had a cancelled flight from Kullu/Bhuntar with Jagson Airlines a few yrs ago it's a common occurrence. But i stood my ground & demanded a cash refund from the manager who was waiting outside the airport gates to tell me the flight was cancelled. He said wait here then disappeared for 20-30mins then unbelievably reapppeared with a full cash refund even though i'd paid in Delhi. KK

I had a cancelled flight with Indian Airline about two years ago (before its merger with Air India) and it took me about two months to get my money back. I just hassled them with emails to a few key people in their organisation. Eventually they credited my card with the money. So don't give up!

Indian Airlines was excellent about reimbursing me when they "pre-poned" one of my flights by a full day and never told me (DEL-LEH). It took maybe 30 mins to get a full cash refund right from the airport. Of course, there was the small matter of them pre-poning my flight by 24-hours without notification.

Indian Airline post-poned one of my flights too. They did email me to say so but then when you are abroad you don't always read your emails. So I ended up waiting around three hours extra at the airport than I expected.
