flights...

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has any top tips...

We're planning to fly from Mumbai to Trivandrum as we're stuck for time and the train seemed to take over 30hrs.
Air Deccan seem to do a flight for 1999 rupees, but there is no option to select non-Indian resident...am I being a bit dim, or is it the same price for both?
Also, does anyone know if this makes a difference paying for it on a credit card, does it then just take your bank's exchange rate?
Also (sorry!) do they issue e-tickets? Has anyone any experience of flying from Mumbai to Kerala?

Thanks!!!

Jess

We have just returned from our Indian holiday. We found that the internal flights charge different rates for NRI's and for Indians. We were planning to visit Delhi and realised that our plane tickets for a family of four would have been about $1000. We opted to go by train which took longer but was cheaper. It is not fair that we as NRI's have to pay so much extra.

You can usually buy tickets from Air Deccan as a foreigner, but for some reason their international CC facility is down temporarily.

Air Deccan doesn't have a differential pricing policy-they have the same rate for Indians and for Foreign nationals.
They do issue e-tickets.
However like punchinello mentioned, they have some issues processing international credit cards,so that could be a big problem. However do keep trying their website or helpline,it would be sorted out sooner or later.

Sharm, how did they know you were an NRI-- you dont require to show your passports on internal flights -- so how did they charge you extra?
