I beg to Differ..
I'm living in Taipei now, and my girlfriend and I are on our way to India in a week and a half. We are taking Thai Airways which stops over in Bangkok enroute to New Delhi. Since there are no flight search engines in taiwan, we had to book through a travel agent.
We worked it out so that we can fly into delhi and then out of Mumbai which makes things alot more convenient for ourselves considering were going to finish up in Goa. It ends up being a total of 24500 NT. That converts to about $750. I researched quite a bit before coming up with that, so If you want the agents name, let me know. Quick Question, what are you doing in Taipei?? Good Luck... |

There are direct flights to Delhi from Hong Kong costing around US$600-700.

Tbone, for a person flying from Vancouver to India via Taipei the cheapest ticket is from China Airlines. There are thousands of Indo-Canadians who buy China Airlines tickets for this reason. It is the airline of choice for anyone who wants to use Delhi as an entry point. Your particular case is different because you want to use Delhi for entering and Mumbai for exiting. China Airlines does not fly to Mumbai. |

I would suggest flying into Bangkok from taipai, then getting a ticket for Delhi. It's a well worn route. The prices quoted so far sound like big dollar !!.

I'm flying from Taipei to India in two weeks and I just paid $9,800 New Taiwan Dollars for my round trip ticket, I think that is about as low as you can get. I bought my ticket from a travel agency that had a tour going to India the same time I wanted to go, they bought an extra "tour package" ticket and sold it to me with out having to buy the actual tour itself. I suggest asking as many travel agents as possible to do this for you. You might need to be flexable with your dates if their tour is a bit longer or shorter than you were hoping for.
