flight to Goa from Delhi

We are planning to travel round the North of India for 1 month and then onto Goa.
Can anybody tell me how much a flight will be from delhi to Goa return?
I have seen on this forum that a train ride is 31 hours+ so I think I would prefer to save some extra cash and go by plane. ( If the price is not too way out)

I just returned from India where I flew one way from Goa to Delhi for $190 one way. This is the "under 30 years old" fare on Indian Air, I believe their regular fare if your over 30 is about $250. I took the flight that stops in Mumbai, which departs Goa at 7am (a bit early since the airport is in the middle of nowhere and you have to get there early), but it arrives into Delhi at 10:30 am. You do not deboard at Mumbai, they just stop and pick up more passengers on the same plane, so it is very convenient and the entire process was quite the easiest transit experience I had in my entire 2 months in India.

As an alternative, there IS a direct Goa to Delhi flight on Air India (or so I was told in there offices not more than 4 weeks ago) which departs Goa around 2pm I believe and arrives in Delhi about 1.5 hours later.

Lastly, I was later told by many Indians that Deccan Air operates much cheaper flights from Goa to Delhi. I would check out their website, which is www.airdeccan.net I believe. Check it out, hope this helps, good idea to fly!

I didn't realise how expensive that trip is so I will probably have to think of another way now!
