I've flown this enough times so you'd think I'd know but I don't, I just grab whatever I fancy and bring it in without problems but I got a mate arriving next week from UK and I want him to bring as much damn British beer as he can carry because of course as everyone knows Brits make the best beer in the world!

Anyone know the correct allowed amount?

Cheers
Malc

I don't know either but always grab a couple of big bottles of JW black label for those critical negotiation moments and a carton of marlboros for baksheesh/bribes.

Read this, they are in there somewhere: http://www.cbec.gov.in/cae/customs/c...s/cs-rulef.htm

I found it: 4. Alcoholic liquor and wines in excess of two litres each.

Duty free is 2 litres.

I dont know about beers but you are allowed 2 litres of Alcohol. This is because I never bring beer only good liquors like Contreu Grand Marriner & Irish Cream.

I think the limit is how much you can physically lug out of the airport. Nobody has ever stopped me walking out with my 4 forty-pounders of Famous Grouse freshly purchased in the Delhi duty free.
