domestic air, can you buy online?

Would appreciate any input about buying a domestic air ticket online...is it possible? I've been looking all over the net and only find travel agents. There is a jetairways office near where I live...is it easier to go through them...or cheaper and easier just to do it once I get to Mumbai. Looking to buy a one way from Mumbai to Kochi around Jan. 4.

The price should be the same whether you buy at Jet office abroad or with an agent in Mumbai. Whether to wait until you get to Mumbai depends how long before Jan 4 you will be there; flights might be heavily booked that close to New Years -- I'd play it safe and book it early from home. You might be able to book it with the agent you are using for your main ticket if that would be more convenient than going to the Jet Office. (that's what I'm doing)

edsita, try this. indiatimes.com and go to auctions, indian airlines and air sahara have seats even upto the last minute on auction and heavy bargains. I did browse through all the three (Jet, Sahara and IA) sites and did come across online booking. Anyways it's cheaper paying the dollar (tourist) fare now as I discovered 3 days ago flying Mumbai to Bangalore since the rupee has strengthened against the dollar by almost 3 rupees.
