Do I have enough time to connect?
My daughter and I are travelling with carry-on from Varanasi to Delhi on Jet Air arriving at 16:00 and then we board Spice Air at 17:25 to Bangalore. My confirmation says the Spice Air departs Terminal 1B and I am assuming we arrive at Terminal 1C. Since we have no checked baggage will there be enough time to change terminals then stand in line to get boarding passes, security etc ? I'm getting a little nervous

Hi - a lot depends on the Jet Air getting in to Delhi near on time, which is sometimes a lottery. If you cant change your flight, I suggest you let the check in staff know that you have a short turnaround flight and get a seat up front. Also see if you can contact Spice on the day and let them know you will be joining from a connecting flight.
With just carry on luggage you should be ok. |

The problem is only one flight a day, so can't change the time.
Can someone tell me how many stops will we encounter before we reach the gate? Is there a passport check, then a security check ? Are these lineups generally long? Is it easy to reach terminal 1B from 1C for my connection? |

Ok. You will have to board a bus to get to the terminal: 10 - 15minutes. From there another 10 - 15 minutes to through security procedures for your onward flight. The terminals arent that far apart.
Once you get off the bus and to the departure terminal I would grab a Spice staff member and they will help you get past the queues etc. |

You may make it comfortably but if I were in ur place would atleast take flight departing at about 18:00 to bangalore from Delhi. you have to report at spicejet at least at 16.50 which is do-able if your flight lands at Delhi at latest time of 16.25-16.35. Your varanasi flight has only 25 mins to be off schedule. Many flights land on time but 25 mins is a bit less compared to traffic at delhi.

Yes thank you it would be nice to take the later flight but in my case there is no later flight and I would have to rework my flights right through to Bali. Maybe I'm panicking for nothing. I have one hour to get to the other terminal. Just hope that it won't be too difficult to do.
Thank you also Tembo. That may also work. |

You can do an Online check-in with a print out at any cyber cafe in varanasi for the Spicejet flight and can directly proceed to Security check at the delhi airport. This way you would not have to report at spicejet counter at delhi and save you extra time.
