Delhi airport to ISBT Kahmiri gate travel time

Friends,
Is it possible to catch 10pm SHimla volvo bus from ISBT Kahmiri gate OR Himachal Bhavan after reaching delhi airport at 8pm same day?,
If not please tell if other bus is available after 10pm.

No...I would simply say not possible.

Thank you Shashank,in fact flight is already booked which reaches Delhi Airport at 8pm, i have Shimla hotel booking on 9th. is there any way at all to reach Shimla by 9th morning.
Just wanted to get more time for site seeing by travelling in night, thanks again

Not sure, just search for Himachal Pradesh Transport on google, and there site might have the bus timings.

The realistic bus would be around 12 in the midnight, because you would be landing at PM, and after that baggage, immigration would take some time, and for flights to get delayed is not uncommon...

How about Delhi airport to Delhi railway station travel time?
I read few threads but could not find realistic travel time, sorry.

There is train at 10pm from Delhi (DLI) railway station which reaches Subzi mandai at 22.10, will it possible to catch this train after flight landing delhi airport at 8pm same day

are you confident enough that your flight would land on time ? even if does, how much time do you think you will need to clear immigration, baggage, customs etc, then get hold of a taxi, after that add 1 hour of traveling time for the New Delhi station and 80 minutes for ISBT. After that add the time you would need to search for the bus/train, and NDLS is HUGE...

Do your maths and decide accordingly..

PS : Oops, did you mention it was a domestic flight or international one ? in Domestic flight cut off the Immigration and Customs part, everything remains the same.

Hi ALL,

Have you forgotten the custom clearance time at Airport? Its not possible to catch the bus.

In April we did the same journey from Delhi airport to ISBT Kashmere gate......it took around 1 hr.

however you have to take the following into considerations:

1)probable delay of flight, specially landing in delhi in prime time
2)time taken in baggage retrieval and getting taxi

under such circumstances it will not be possible to catch the 10 pm volvo.

also note that the last HRTC volvo leaves ISBT at 10pm.

on other hand u may also get volvo's from outside Red Fort.. i dont have any idea for the time table ... bt u can try
