Competition for Air Deccan?

Does anybody know about cheaper flights than by Air Deccan?
I wonder if the competition brought other companies to lower rates.

It is still the cheapest but depends on the date you book the flight,If you book 3 months prior to your departure, yes it is still the cheapest Generally speaking.

Three months?!
Wow. I got only one month and a half ahead. Does it make other companies a better option now?

I think you can get same deal even in sahara or spice jet or if u are looking for to-and-fro ticket then u can opt for diff combinations that way it might turn out to be cheaper

Itamar, With one and half months in hand,i would say that you can still get the best deal out of Air deccan when compared with other airlines. It would be helpful if you also add the places where you want to travel.

Im sorry. Since its the Andaman islands forum, I forgot about it.
Im talking about flights from Kolkata to Port Blair.
Or from Delhi if it makes it cheaper than taking a exhausting 15 hours train (:

Rates can't go any lower than this, all these low-cost airlines are running significant losses already, but they keep the fares this low because of the competition and in an attempt to lure new customers (from the train travelers pool).

I think you should consider GOAIR and INDIGO. Both are new and fighting for their place. They do not behave like airdeccan. I donot suggest anyone to use airdeccan...
