Cleartrip issues
Hello,
I am trying to book flights Mumbai - Goa - Mumbai leaving Mumbai on 28th December and returning from Goa on the 1st Jan 09.
I was using ixigo and the cheapest flights they had were both ways with Deccan. I was a bit dissuaded by comments I've read on indiamike re: Deccan so I checked Cleartrip and it came up with a couple of suitable Indian Airlines options. Everytime I try to book however it comes up with an error that one of the flights is no longer available from the airline. I've tried this with a few combinations of flights and it still comes up.
I tried looking at the Indian Airlines site directly by it only has flight bookings up until November 2008.
I'm a bit confused and I would like to book the tickets in the next day or so as everytime I check the price it's gone up.
Can anybody help me with whether this is an error with Cleartrip or a way to find out whether there are any other flights?
Would really appreciate your help!!

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I managed to book my tickets for December no problem, but I got the same message as you when I tried to book flights for October. I eventually went via the Indian airlines web site and completed the booking.
Have you tried www.makemytrip.com or www.yatra.com ?

Grr..how weird.
I've tried makemytrip but then read on here that they don't accept Indian credit cards? And also was reading that Air India doesn't produce e-tickets (or didn't in May) and we don't have anyone who could pick them up in India for us unfortunately.
Though I could pick them up in December when I am there as I don't need them until the last half of my trip. I wonder if they would hold them for that long.
Can anyone clarify these two points?
Oh gosh this really is doing my head in!!

Haha...I'm only just getting a sense of that now!
Anyway - thanks for everyone's help - bizarrely, all of my problems were solved. Makemytrip emailed me back and said that they could accept international credit cards and do e-tickets for Indian Airlines. After I found that out I thought I'd double check the cleartrip situation, and after having a bit of trouble registering, I finally managed to after contacting their customer service department and booked the tickets I originally wanted with no hassles!!
Amazing!!
