What is the cheapest way of getting to India? I'm considering going for a while in the summer, but being a student who is just waiting for the ATM to tell me 'Insufficient funds', cost is the big issue! Cheapest airline anyone? And where from? Do lastminute.com ever have cheap flights over there? I've just looked and there was nothing

Hi,
Flight costs to India can vary dramatically depending on when you plan to visit India. When do you plan to make this trip? Airlines that you might want to consider are:

1) Air India
2) Alitalia
3) Kuwait Airways

All of the above are good airlines whose fares are not as high. Hope this helps.

I'm normally flying from Spain to Delhi with British Airlines. The fare Madrid - London - Delhi - London - Madrid is around 600 Euros. Similar price to Calcutta. To Bombay I fly normally with Alitalia, prices: Madrid/Valencia - Milan - Bombay and return around 650 Euros.

i met a guy from UK in Goa who got this incredible deal through a charter flight. although they usually want to onclude hotel and stuff, you might be able to purchase just the flight ? you could trya google search

I'm struggling as well, I want a one way to London via Delhi, and the cheapest I can find is about AUD2000 believe it or not.

Do you think it would be possible to get a one way ticket to India, and get a ticket to London from there?? Would customs let me into the country?
