Cathay Pacific adds more flights from Del, Mum

Cathay Pacific has announced the addition of three flights each from Delhi and Mumbai schedule during the open skies period from November to March. This is in addition to the four flights a week that it operates currently from India.

With this, the airline will now have daily flights from Mumbai and Delhi.
The first additional flight from Delhi to Hong Kong (Airbus A330-300) starts on November 1 and the Mumbai-Hong Kong flight (Boeing 777-300), which is via Bangkok, will commence on November 16.

Thanks for the info. I hope they will also add more flights between the western US and Hong Kong too. For all you Pacific Northwesters -- Cathay is an Alaska Airlines mileage partner, but I'm told you have to plan a year in advance to get a seat if using miles. Even to accrue miles (a better investment), you often have to book ahead to get Cathay at a reasonable price, unless you luck out with a travel agent. Anyone know of other airlines that Cathay is partnered with?

The bottleneck has usually been the flights into India -- which I hear the Indian govt restricts to give Air India a chance to compete
