Question can I book using friends card?

Hey guys,

As I can't book domestic flights online, because of the international credit card fiasco, I thought it'd be a good idea to pay using my indian friend's credit card details, as I do not have one.

Will i have a problem when checking-in at the airport because I paid using a friends credit card? proof of purchase and all that?
I read the terms and conditions on spicejet and what i think it was trying to get at is that if i provide a photocopy of my friends card it'll be ok, but air deccan, with whom i've booked 3 flights with do not say anything about it - can anyone help me? I', just a bit worried aout it!
Thanks,

Chris

As far as I know there is nothing to stop you from having someone else pay for your ticket. Your friend will have to do the transaction him/herself of course. Just make sure the ticket gets properly registered to you with all your details. (I'm not 100% sure in this particular situation -- the Indian credit card enigma --, but I know I've had other people use their credit cards to get my tickets for me, what in this age of online booking and whatnot.)

I have done it couple of times..but me and my pal are both Indians..

you would need the card number, expiry date, name on the card, CVV number for the transaction..

Spicejet accepts international credit cards. I've booked several tickets with my Visa card with no problem.

All you need for an electronic ticket .ie. ticket printed off the internet - an identity proof, the best of which is ur passport. However driving licences also work.

Ive been told (by customer service people) that I needed to bring my credit card with me and present it when I check in. But no-one at the airport has ever actually asked for it. This was with Kingfisher.
