just like what many have said, Tiger Airways. The service is just okay. The food is horrible but at least it can fill your stomach. =)

I was looking up connections to Hyderabad and found that Silk Air (SQ subsidiary, but better Air Ho stesses, if that's possible) is flying to HYD again?

http://www.silkair.com/mbe/Schedule/ScheduleSearch.jspx

Does that mean (not that it makes a difference to me personally) SQ no longer flies into HYD?

I also ask because I did have some bitter experiences with KLM, when they quit flying to HYD, back in February, with no advance warning and re routed an existing ticket ATL-NYC-DEL-HYD instead of ATL-AMS-HYD.

Naturally, they were given a hard time, KLM I mean.

An ATL-EWR-DEL-HYD would have been a totally non-KLM operation. Since KLM does not do any of those segments using its own plane. IN such cases you are entitled to a full refund.

Many foreign carriers were frustrated by the imposition of about 24USD extra development tax per pax out of HYD. Europeans carriers did not have a healthy load, so they suspend operations till the conditions improve.

All I was interested in was safe passage for Mom, who was assured HYD-AMS-ATL-AMS-HYD when we bought the ticket. When they changed the route, ATL-AMS-DEL-HYD, I had issues, and so did they, simply put.

It's mostly, like when you know the rules, you know how to....

So they did not take her to NYC ? In which case, they can make changes as it depends on how long she stayed in ATL. I would have negotiated for her to be upgraded DEL-HYD on Biz with assistance

She flew the expected route (one stop, customs at HYD), ATL-FRA-HYD., on LH.

Not a penny more. Not a penny less.
