Bribing Airport Check-in Agents

Has anyone had any lucky bribing an airport check-in agent to get you a seat on a totally full flight? I'm trying to get out of here before Diwali...just aren't having much luck with my airline.

I don't think the check-in bods could sell you a ticket

And you'd have to get that far without one, which wouldn't be easy here in Chennai.

hopeless...... ~~~~ unless you are john holmes maybe....<just kidding peeps>

the last ticket agent i had was an old grandma...and she wouldnt budge inspite of the sweetest of the smiles, asking about her extended families, her heritage...and trying to find some common cause for sympathy....nothing!...no luck~

thought i had higher odds with old grandmas, ugly ones, avoid the guys? and showing some chutney love...didnt work...went home back...(this was not in india..).. allright kill me for stereotyping and not being pc..

your odds would be better if you are a gal

take some photos of (some) kids..and say they will starve if you dont make it.

try for tickets from secondary airports like pune or nagpur to middleeast and from there on....they might be available than ones from bombay...

or standby? (with the way traffic is these days, i am sure there are more no-shows? but then again, these planes overbook......)

oh,,you might try your luck with a straight up plot from a bollywood flick...

get fake glycerine (for tears), and make the most sorry ass story you can about sickness, love or betrayal and hope to get an sympathizer on the other side to work to your favor...

These aren't a bunch of government babus. They are private sector professionals. I doubt your bribe overtures will go very far, since they would be fired for accepting.

I'm a professional, and if some dude gave me 5 times my daily wage....I'd take it...assuming there was a good chance I wouldn't be caught

I find that if I want expeditied service I have best luck with a woman age 30-45. I give her a big smile and generally act like a friendly but hungry tiger, and she is my next meal [1]. My wife claims that telling them she is pregnant is the best way, but my way is more fun.

[1] I have handed out my business card in such situations but never heard back.
