| Indian airlines would be best option. i.e AIRINDIA. They accept all credit cards. Last edited by brownboy66; Apr 24th, 2008 at 11:41.. Reason: remove advert |

Hi Suej, I have tried unsuccessfully a lot of times to get some Air Decan company plane tickets from Delhi to Leh and I've had exactly the same problems you comment in http://www.indiamike.com/india/domes...from-uk-t50676. I've read your message and, as I understand, you booked your tickets with Cleartrip. Can I ask you some questions? - Did you really buy your tickets there? - Could you pay with a foreign Visa credit card? - I can see you can only set an Indian address. Did you do it this way? Did you have any problem? Do they have to send you the tickets? - Are plane tickets electronic? - Have you had any other problem in this flight? Thanks indeed,

| Yes, I really booked with Cleartrip - I was completely desperate by that stage, having tried every way I could think of to book direct with Deccan! It accepted a foreign card without any problem. I gave the address of an Indian hotel, but the ticket was an eticket, so the address was never used at all. I got a an email confirmation pretty promptly, which I printed out and took with me. The flight was fine with no problems, it was about 6 weeks ago. And the flight was even on time ;-) ....although Cleartrip cannot have had any influence there! Good luck with your booking. |

| Hello SueJ! Yesterday I tried reserving the flight tickets in cleartrip. I've been given an ID Trip but the problem is that my reservation couldn't be confirmed. They told me the reservation can be confirmed offline. Trey told me I have to call them. Today I try to call them and it's impossible to speak with them. Did you call them? |

| No, I didn't have to call them at all. It was incredibly fast and simple online after all the hassle I had trying to do it direct with Deccan. Maybe the rules for a Spanish credit card are different from a UK one? Or maybe it is worth just leaving it for a day and trying online again, perhaps with a different card. Good luck....it'll be worth the effort and problems once you are there ![]() |

) due to the exchange rates (there's commission when you pay Cleartrip, then more commission when they refund you) so I didn't bother booking with them again. I also tried calling Cleartrip to find out whether they could make the booking over the phone, but after a series of "communication difficulties" they hung up on me. In the end I booked the flights with Indian Airlines via their UK office (a bit more expensive, but at least I got the tickets!).So Cleartrip can definitely process overseas visa cards, but they appear to have a problem with their connection to Air Deccan's booking system.
