BA Flight Bargains next few days

I usually just bin the marketing e-mails from BA, but this time I'm glad I didn't.

Heathrow <-> Chennai return: Economy £388.90

(The dates I used were Nov 8 to April 27)

Even Premier Economy (that extra 6 inches!) at £708.90

Flights, it says, must be booked before 27 September.

Hi Nick-H

Thank you for the information. The main problem for me in this particular flights (London - Delhi/Bombay 747) are the seats that are really narrows. Oddly in the other flights with BA (Airbus) seats are quiet good. My last flight from Delhi to London ten days ago was really a nightmare due to the seat and a very fat woman seated beside me, and we spent as well, two and a half hours already on board stopped in Delhi, so next time I'll fly with Lufthansa or KLM, Air France or any other company.

BA tends to be my favourite because only they fly direct to Chennai. To other Indian destinations I guess there's a lot more competition.

No, I think favourite is probably putting it a bit too strong...

I'm on the Heathrow to Chennai flight next Tuesday, returning direct from Bangalore. Even though effectively its an open jaw ticket. We got it for about 388 also.

It seems BA is starting to get serious about pricing now. Another bargain I found is Heathrow to Marrakesh return for £120. Its the winter and hence off-season but you can't beat it for a long weekend, say.

My favourite airlines to India has to be Srilankan/Emirates. Least favourite Lufthansa/Alitalia. As nick-h says BA is preferable now especially with direct flights to south india, even though they are not among my faves (and also, qantas is aligned so I get frequent flyer points!!).
