All good now...I hope! (My morning with domestic flights...)

I had booked my Delhi to Trivandrum trip via Indigo and Jet quite some time ago. The Indigo flight landed in Chennai at 7:24AM with the Jet flight out at 2:25PM; plenty of time for that connection, no? Well, this morning I got a Jet email saying the flight was changed to 8:00AM--with a stopover in Bangalore!

So I cancelled, as per the Jet rep, and will probably lose my Indigo money altogether (but that's another story) and then tried to book a DEL/TRV flight. Ha ha.

Indian has a reasonable one stop, but would my card be accepted? No, it wouldn't, despite my using it for all my other domestic flights. So I tried cleartrip--no go. Finally, I tried travelocity.co.in, and, after a long time on the phone with my bank, confirming that I yam what I yam (Popeye ref.)I got my confirmation, at R15,062 (round trip) for the flight. Yippee!!!

Of course, this is still subject to change, I know... But at least it's looking pretty good at the moment!

Well, first of all, cheers for IndiGo, as they refunded my ticket and wouldn'tve had to; it was Jet's connection change that was actually the problem. So yay, IndiGo!

Anyway, yesterday I got an email from Travelocity.in that my DEL/TRV flight was 5:30PM instead of 9AM--and leaving Trivandrum at 6:30 in the morning instead of 3 in the afternoon! Hey, I'm only leaving on Thursday, could change again, no? I'm guessing that they want to make sure that all the flights are as full as possible, and can't blame them for that...just makes scheduling interesting.

Just wanted to let everyone know (again, I'm sure you've read it before!) that it's best to go with the flow, 'cause things change.

Another (somewhat odd) domestic airlines story is that the Kingfisher-operating-Deccan flight out of Leh was cancelled for 23 July, although I'm still ostensibly flying Kingfisher/Deccan TO Leh...but I was able to rebook it as a Deccan flight. Anybody have any clue why that might have happened? (I'll be recomfirming that one, for sure.)
