Hi,

My partner and I are going to India next year, we were planning to do our travelling by train. I know travelling by plane will be more expensive, but is it worth getting one of these "saver fares" we're going to Delhi, Agra then Ranthambore and then jaipur and back to Delhi to fly to Goa. Do you know if we could use these "unlimited travel" tickets to go to Goa at the end of our first week?

hey man, you listed this whole list of websites, thanks a ton, but need smthing to find the cheapest fares in all of them. it'll take around half an hour to find the cheapest fares in all these websites.
check out these links, http://faresearch.rediff.com/travel/...farenchse.htm#

this tells the cheapest fares all month, but its not updated.

check this one, http://www.yatra.com/
this tells you cheapest fares for +-2 days, but its not regularly updated too, & does not have all airlines.

& finally, my fav, check this one,
http://www.indiafaredeals.com/

this tells you the cheapest fares, updated almost daily, but it doesnt cover all cities

"gave away"? not giving away?

If it's over its not news and its not useful.

You wouldn't be an employee plugging the company would you, by any chance?

spiecjet.com

hi guys,
just come back from India. I flew Spiecejet.com and it was really great. 2 flights both in perfect time, good service and an excellent call center. Indian airlines on the other hand gained 4 hours late on the route Khajuraho-Varanasi.
Take care
max

don't know wether any restriction can be applied to Australia, from Italy, no problem at all. You can also check your reservation by call center, very cheap calling it within India (3/4 Rs).

i booked a few tickets with SpiceJet the other day and found their website to be very functional and convenient. i'm from melbourne.

we needed to alter one of the flights and it was done in 10 mins. with no fuss or hassle whatsoever, save the A$50 fee which is de rigeur i'd guess.

word up to SpiceJet! hopefully their physical service lives up to their website

Air Deccan otoh wouldn't accept my Aussie credit card. i can't understand how a competent business would rule themselves out of the lucrative foreign tourist market by failing to provide such a basic service.

Apparently the credit card processing gateway linked to Airdeccan site has temporarily stopped accepting international credit cards.I think GoAir utilizes the services of the same ICICI bank gateway and hence rejects payment attempts using a credit card issued outside India.A prominent message listing the same is usually displayed while finalizing the flight dates on the Airdeccan website. In that they list a time frame of 2-3 weeks for fixing this issue.
Agreed, even though its a problem with a third party service it still doesn't reflect too well on their contigency plans or on having alternate payment gateways or other forms of online payment on offer during situations like this. The affected airlines must be loosing out on a big chunk of business during this peak tourist/travel season.
