Is it possible for foreigners to book online with Go Air http://www.goair.in? I'm trying to book a Goa - Delhi flight but its prompting for an address so I wonder maybe if it is for Indians only.

Hello .. I would like to ask one question ..feel free to answer
Shame on me as I've bought a e-ticket from airdeccan (dheli bagdogra) and I've mispell my last name on the form (ie Jena-Paul instead of Jean-Paul)
Can I try to go like that to the boarding desk or should I cancel my ticket and rebuy a new one ( at least a loss of 400 Irp)

Not possible with air deccan I'm afraid of ... As they say in their FAQ
Change in name of passengers is not allowed. Incase a wrong name has been entered, the booking will have to be cancelled and a fresh booking will have to be made.
So.... still do'nt know what to do

Check in baggage allowance

Air Deccan charges Rs.70/kg for excess check in baggage, anything over 15 kgs.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how much excess baggage is allowed per passenger?

A little help please. Ive looked at trains from Mumbai to Bangalore and they are priced at Rs.2554 for the 16 hour First AC journey

Air Deccan has flights for Rs.1824 for just the 1hr 20m flight. This seems all a bit bizarre what with the flight being far cheaper than the plane. Is this right? I know it says so so I guess it must be, but it just seems the wrong way round!

Additionally are flights generally available at a couple of days notice or will i be looking at them being booked up - anyone with any experience of this?

Thanks muchly

Missing a connection in Delhi, what to do?

Thanks to all for the information on all the new airlines flying. I have booked flights on three seperate carriers to get the best deals.

Now I find I have a problem with a quick connection between two Spice Air flights in Delhi. We have a flight that is scheduled to arrive 1 hour and 55 minutes before the second flight departs. We will not have checked in baggage. I find out now Spice Air has a two hour minimun connection time and check in.

Is it even worth trying to make the flight or will I be stranded in Delhi? What would anyone recommend to do when a flight is missed. Spice Air does not have connecting flights so it sounds like they will not help . I know there are several carriers
flying later flights to Chennai, would flights usually be fully booked? Would it be possible to get a ticket last minute on another carrier? Is there a central booking area, what would I need to do? go to each counter looking for a flight? What to do first? I decided to start my panic now instead of later and develop another plan.

Thanks for any advise you can provide.

A/C I vs flight

Barking Mad, #101

Traditionally, A/C I has been equivalent to flight cost. With the advent of private airlines offering low-cost fares, the price of flights have dropped below that of A/C I. In fact, Indian Railways may re-consider offering this since it is not competitive anymore.

Cheers

Flying- Mumbai to Triv

Hiya,

We're planning to fly from Mumbai to Trivandrum as we're stuck for time and the train seemed to take over 30hrs.
Air Deccan seem to do a flight for 1999 rupees, but there is no option to select non-Indian resident...am I being a bit dim, or is it the same price?
Also, does anyone know if this makes a difference paying for it on a credit card, does it then just take your bank's exchange rate?
Also (sorry!) do they issue e-tickets? Has anyone any experience of flying from Mumbai to Kerala?

Thanks!!!

Jess

Air Deccan has same fares for resident Indians and non-residents.

flights...

Hi,

Thanks for that! That's brilliant, will try and book those this week then.
Anyone else know about e-tickets with Air Deccan? Is it pretty straight forward?

Thanks again,

Jess
