Hey...I was just wondering if it was easier to book domestic flights once in Inida...also are last minute bookings a problem when booking domestic flights? Should I give myself more that a few days? thanks!

Great info- well done.

However I am still struggling to find cheap flights on a round route from Mumbai-Varanasi-Khajuraho in any order. Anyone can help on any airlines??Thanks.

Hi Folks thanks for all the great info...An Indian friend has told me that purchasing tickets for domestic flights is cheaper in India...does anyone know if this is true? We will arrive into Delhi on October 13th and want to fly to Amritstar on the 30th so I'm wondering if because of Diwali it would be leaving it too late to purchase those tickets once we arrive.

I just wanted to say that Indian Airlines rose their prices in July, and it was sort of weird: I went to book my ticket and got all the details one day and the very next day, when I went to actually buy the ticket the prices had risen over night without any notice! So take nothing for granted, is my point

Depends on whether you have an Indian passport or a foreign one. You will be charged the $ rate if you are a foreign national. If you are of Indian origin but have a foreign passport you can get away with paying the lower rate.
