Many thanks, but 1800 numbers are US (and Canada) only

If you only have one week to travel to all these places, you are probably going to spend all your time in airports, specially if one or more flights are delayed, not an uncommon occurence in the winter. So unless you have some really good reason to do so, consider going to just one or two places.

Agreed. Rasell, imagine trying to do Stockholm, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome and Athens in one week.

Jet Air

Hi,

I am new here, so hope this is the right place to post.

Having some difficulty purchasing a JetAir ticket online. I am booking from the US, and the JetAir site has rejected my credit card, twice, for reasons unknown to me.

I 've emailed them, no reply yet, but I am eager to get this flight booked asap for the 17th of Jan.

Anyone else have this problem?

If all else fails, my plan is to sleep at the local airport (Delhi) and depart the next morning for Varanasi. What are the chances of getting a ticket at the counter? Seems too risky, brrrrrr

Thanks for any help-

Jet Air credit cards

Jet Air doesn't accept international credit cards, although I've heard that American Express may be an exception.

Do any of the airlines accept foreign credit cards?

this is the message i keep getting:

ERR NO: ENG-AM-053
Credit Card Number Problem

Due to security reasons we are unable to process this card. Please contact the airline ticketing counter along with the original card. For more info, please write to info@jetairways.com

I also just realized, Kumba Mela is in Varanasi, which may may booking a flight impossible.

Using international CCs for air tickets

After much searching, I've found that these people - http://www.indiatravelite.com - will book domestic tickets on international CCs. They seem to be prompt and helpful.

You might be able to buy your tickets through Mobissimo or Travelocity or one of those sites.

Smile from domestic to international airport - Delhi

Hey there...

I looked for this info but haven't yet had luck so I apologize in advance if this has been asked & answered before.

I'm flying back home from Delhi but I'm probably gonna finish exploring India in Bombay.
I'm gonna fly from Bombay to Delhi with a domestic flight and land in Domestic Airport in Delhi. Now I'm wondering how I can get from Domestic to International airport.
Someone told me there's a free bus for those who have connecting flights. I'll have someone with me who will go to the airport with me but won't have a ticket. Can he pay for the bus ride?...
How long does it take to get from one airport to another? I have to calculate the best possible for my flights. Don't wanna miss the one back home.

Thank you all good people...

There is a free bus service from one terminal to the other exclusively for passengers with valid travel documents, so your guest will not be allowed. You will have to exit the domestic terminal and take a taxi to the international airport, which is longer than the inside route. But the free bus service is rumored to be erratic also.
More details on another thread on this, which you may find under Delhi airport, or Planes...

Juliette, try http://www.toandfromtheairport.com/delhi.html or http://www.airportsindia.org.in/igi/...facilities.jsp (browse around there, site only open during Indian business hours).
