airfare discounts...
Indian airlines has an offer of nearly 60% discount on certain sector flights, from 1st april 2004. Delhi- mumbai, mumbai- goa, delhi- ahmedabad, cochin etc... Then there is this scheme of Bidding for yr. flight 8 days prior to taking it. Seems like one cane get a fairly decent discount on this.

No discounts for non indians :(
This may sound strange, but most of the airlines in India offer the discount and auctions to Indians only.
One exception may be www.jetairways.com which sell bundled fare US$ tickets. I feel they are overpriced, but still if you can make a lot out of it, best option to cover the entire country in say 2 weeks.
